Culinary delicacies at Sonnleiten
"Healthy food brings heart and soul together" is how an old saying goes in the Salzburg region.
And this is the motto we have chosen to go with our
tempting home-made delicacies and Mediterranean specialities.
Quality is of
the utmost importance in all things concerning food.
Quality may not always
be seen by the eye, but it is essential to provide the highest culinary
pleasure.
When choosing products we care a
lot about their origin and quality and the philosophy that lies behind
them.
This is why it is of great importance for us to have a good relationship with
both our producers and suppliers who value foods that are produced in
balance with nature as much as we do.
A large number of our primary
products that we regularly use come from our regional suppliers.
For example,
we only use Austrian meat from natural farming from the region,
such as “Alpenvorland-Rind” (beef from the Alpine foothills) or “Tiroler Berg
Lamm” (lamb from the Tyrolean mountains).
Our range of sausages all come from
Austrian butchers such as the “Metzgerei Rumpold” from the National Park
Hohe Tauern or the “Ablinger” butcher’s, a traditional family-run shop in
Oberndorf near Salzburg.
Our selection of fish follows the same principle: we
trust in Austrian fisheries and fish farms, and prefer
regionally available varieties.
Other foods that do not grow in our vicinity
are chosen according to the quality standards and sustainable methods used in
their production and we therefore use only carefully selected suppliers, from
whom we demand the highest standards of hygiene and product security.
Our chef Marco Pfeiffer and his kitchen team use these top-quality ingredients to create outstanding dishes with a new take on traditional favourites.
